About us

Springdale Education Center is an approved private school by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Springdale Education Center provides a range of educational, clinical, psycho-educational, behavioral and outreach services for youth ages 5-22 who are challenged with serious mental health issues and have engaged in aggressive behaviors and have provided a significant challenge to caregivers. 

SEC believe that all children, regardless of circumstances deserve unconditional regard, and will flourish when they are provided with the resources that they need. SEC's dedicated and talented staff  provide an environment that is safe, trauma-informed, supportive and welcoming.

We are proud of the accomplishments of students as well as the endless compassion of our staff.

Our History

opened their doors in 1997 providing comprehensive behavior management based on natural and logical consequences that encourages and facilitates youth to accept responsibility for their actions. Cognitive-Behavioral and Relapse prevention principles are infused into the daily structure and clinical focus of the program. Program routines and zero-tolerance limits are clearly outlined and enforced to ensure safety and effectiveness.
